New Star Wars Series: Kanan: The Last Padawan
If you think the Star Wars hype is over, you’re surely mistaken young Padawan! Speaking of Padawans, Marvel is happy to introduce a new ongoing Star Wars series coming this April, titled Star Wars – Kanan: The Last Padawan! Written by Greg Weisman with art from Pepe Larraz, Kanan ties into the “Star Wars Rebels” animated series, looking back on the earlier life of its main character, Kanan Jarrus. With a slightly darker tone than the television series, Kanan looks to match the feel of Episodes IV and V. Subscribe to this new series today!
Introducing The Uncanny Inhumans!
We’ve already seen the Uncanny X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, and Uncanny Avengers. What’s next, you ask? None other than the Uncanny Inhumans from fan-favorite creative team Charles Soule and Steve McNiven (Death of Wolverine). Beginning with issue #0 this April, the Uncanny Inhumans will focus primarily on Black Bolt and his pseudo death post-Inifnity. With two ongoing series, an appearance in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show, and their growing presence in the Marvel universe, the Inhumans are here to stay! Marvel has had some success lately with hiring fantastic Female writers as well as artists. Writers like Kelly Sue DeConnick have raised the bar considerably for not only female writers, but males as well. It’s great to see a focus on women artists with this Marvel initiative, and let’s hope there will be something for writers as well. Let’s hope for a time when it isn’t considered an accomplishment when women can break into comics or any other field as well. They should be there on merit and it shouldn’t be any harder for a female artist to succeed than a man. Ok, enough with my soapbox. Read on and enjoy some of the covers below.

I’ve criticized Marvel in the past for their marketing, and most of the time it’s deserved, but this promotion is actually really cool. Somehow through science and magic, Marvel has made it possible for everyone to have a unique Ant-man #1. I won’t do it any justice by trying to describe it any further. I got caught a little behind today with chores, neck pain and all of the cool content coming from Marvel today. I’m really excited for this Ultron cover and really want to know more. I liked the way Age of Ultron started off, and then it got, well…like the rest of Marvel’s huge story arcs get. Regardless, have a look at the cover and a brief snippet of an interview with Rick Remender below. It drops On Sale April 2015.
Love the placement of the characters and the content of this cover. Somehow elegant with restrained power.
